Kimolos Remains Stranded in Suez South Anchorage After Damage
The tanker 'Kimolos' continues to sit in the Suez South Anchorage, anchored at coordinates 29° 43.43' N and 032° 35.12' E as of July 20. Following a grounding incident on July 15, the vessel is experiencing a slight list of approximately seven degrees and a forward trim ranging between 2 to 4 meters. Preliminary assessments suggest that the ballast tanks on the port side foreship sustained damage during the incident. The ship's owners, Okeanis Eco Tankers, confirmed that while the bottom of the ship has been compromised, it has not breached.
