On November 16, 2016, tragedy struck at Dock Marina in Gresik when the cargo ship "Tradisi 8" capsized while attempting to enter a floating dock. The vessel tilted dramatically to its starboard side before sinking, leaving its port side partially above the water. In the aftermath, one crew member was reported missing, prompting a swift response from the Navy Task Force EFQR-V, which launched a search operation for the sunken vessel. Divers faced significant challenges due to strong currents during the recovery efforts, diminishing the likelihood of locating the missing individual alive. They were joined in the efforts by teams from the Gresik and Tanjung Perak ports, Basarnas, and the Indonesia Marina Shipyard Dwi Yudo.
