On April 9, 2015, the naming ceremony for the SCF Mitre, the latest addition to the Sovcomflot (SCF Group) fleet, took place in South Korea. This vessel marks the fourth in a cutting-edge series of Atlanticmax-type LNG carriers designed to enhance global energy transportation. Similar to her sister ship, SCF Melampus, which joined the fleet earlier in January 2015, SCF Mitre will be deployed under a long-term charter agreement with Royal Dutch Shell, further solidifying collaboration in the maritime energy sector.
