In an alarming episode on July 6, 2025, the container ship 'Kota Nabil' fell victim to an unauthorized boarding while navigating the eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme in the Singapore Strait. The vessel, which was making its way from Port Louis to Singapore, was approached by four intruders at approximately 03:30 a.m., just 3.3 nautical miles off the coast of Pulau Cula, positioned at 1° 2.7' N and 103° 39.3' E. Fortunately, no theft or significant harm was reported during this incident.
