Both vessels sustained damage to their bow regions, and a gantry crane was also affected in the incident. Meanwhile, the 'Al Qibla' was able to depart the port early, leaving at 9 a.m. en route to Zeebrugge. The stormy conditions also led to additional casualties, with the 'Hanjin Gold,' 'Bianca Rambow,' 'MSC Margarita,' and 'Barmbek' breaking free from their moorings at Predöhl Quay and Athabaska Quay. Quick actions were taken to prevent further drift: the 'Hanjin Gold' managed to secure itself with emergency anchors.
