Kure Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

On May 17, 2014, the container ship 'Maersk Kure', en route from Port Said to Savannah, came across a capsized vessel that resembled the missing racing yacht 'Cheeki Rafiki', approximately 1,000 miles east of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. However, the crew did not halt to investigate further, as there were no signs of life on board. The 'Maersk Kure' was hindered by limitations in manoeuvrability and capacity, rendering it incapable of providing assistance. Four sailors were reported missing: Paul Goslin, age 56, and Steve Warren, age 52, both hailing from Somerset, along with 23-year-old James Male from Southampton, and 21-year-old Andrew Bridge from Farnham, Surrey. All four were recognized for their sailing expertise and experience.
