Kydonia Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

On June 17, 2020, at approximately 12:30 a.m., the vessel 'Kydonia', operating with a partial cargo load, ran aground on the Paraná River at kilometer marker 337, just downstream of San Nicolas. The 'Kydonia' had recently departed from San Lorenzo, en route to Recalada a Bahía Blanca, when it encountered difficulties. The grounding incident created significant disruptions for passing marine traffic in the area. Fortunately, the situation was rectified on June 18 around 2 a.m., when the vessel was successfully refloated. It was then assisted upstream by two tugs. By 7 a.m., the 'Kydonia' had been secured at coordinates 33° 20.26' S, 060° 10.00' W, with the help of the tug 'Albacora' (IMO: 7337567), ensuring the safe continuation of maritime activities in the region.
