In response to the ongoing strike at APM Terminal Rotterdam, Hapag-Lloyd has announced the cancellation of the Rotterdam call for its PAX service vessels. All export cargo already delivered and awaiting pickup in Rotterdam will remain stranded until further notice, as gate operations are currently halted. Shippers with export cargo not yet dispatched to Rotterdam will need to reroute their shipments to Antwerp for connection with the London Express 75W43 service. Additionally, import cargo from Rotterdam, specifically the London Express 74E35 / 75W43, will be offloaded at Antwerp for local collection. Export shipments intended for Rotterdam must now be sent directly to Antwerp.

On the evening of July 23, 2012, the container ship 'London Express' encountered a significant engine malfunction while navigating the Elbe River on its route from Hamburg to Rotterdam. The incident occurred between Teufelsbrück and Blankenese due to a lubrication defect, which led to increased friction in the engine components. The vessel's crew promptly raised the alarm around 9 p.m. near Blankenese and took swift action to reduce the ship's speed. In response to the situation, three tugboats were dispatched to assist the 'London Express,' successfully towing it to Finkenwerder. Once secured at the mooring poles, the ship was later moved to Burchard Quay on July 24 for necessary repairs.
