What Crew Members Say About Maersk-Enshi

In a significant maritime incident, the cargo from the Maersk Enshi is set to be transshipped onto the Maersk Guthorm after a collision with a Chinese fishing vessel south of Shanghai, near Taizhou. This unfortunate event unfolded at coordinates 28 22N 122 17E. Following the collision, the fishing boat sank. Of the ten crew members on board, four were rescued while six others remain unaccounted for. After the collision, the Maersk Enshi made its way to Yu Huan Anchorage south of Taizhou, where it was safely moored by the afternoon of October 12. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. At the time of the accident, the Maersk Enshi was actively servicing the transpacific route of the 2M Alliance TP2 service. To ensure the continuity of service, the Maersk Guthorm will now be responsible for transporting cargo from key ports including Ningbo, Shanghai, and Yokohama, headed towards Long Beach and Oakland. Maersk is diligently working on a plan to manage the cargo initially loaded on the Maersk Enshi and will provide updates as they become available. The TP2 service operates a comprehensive port rotation that includes Tanjung Pelepas, Cai Mep (near Ho Chi Minh), Shekou Shenzhen (Chiwan), Yantian Shenzhen, Shanghai, Long Beach, Oakland CA, Vostochniy Russia, Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou Shenzhen (Chiwan), Singapore, Port Said Egypt, Haifa, Koper, Trieste, Rijeka Croatia, Gioia Tauro, Port Said Egypt, King Abdullah City, Salalah, and back to Tanjung Pelepas.
