What Crew Members Say About Marlin-Stolmen

On August 19, 2023, the offshore tug supply vessel Skandi Stolmen experienced a significant engine room fire while operating in the Campos Basin, approximately 75 nautical miles off the coast of Macaé, Brazil. The vessel was either en route to or working near several oil rigs in the region when the incident occurred. Emergency response measures were swiftly implemented, resulting in the evacuation of 16 crew members. Fortunately, the fire was brought under control; however, the extent of the damage and the current state of the Skandi Stolmen remain uncertain as investigations into the incident continue.
