On January 24, 2018, a grave maritime incident unfolded 21 miles off the northern coast of Sechura, Peru, involving the cargo vessel 'Jamila' and the unauthorized fishing vessel 'Señor de la Misericordia'. The fishing boat, which had departed from Paita port without proper clearance, capsized and was found drifting upside down in the ocean. Tragically, rescue efforts uncovered the bodies of at least three fishermen, while five others remain missing. CMA CGM has announced an upgrade to its dedicated service connecting Rouen with various destinations in West Africa. This enhancement begins with the arrival of the MV JAMILA on voyage 6E028S, set to dock in Rouen on November 1, 2014.
