On April 4, 2025, a maritime incident occurred when the freighter 'Marus' collided with the anchored container ship 'MSC Anshikia IV' (IMO: 925848) while the latter was on its way to Ramsgate from Abidjan. The collision resulted in significant damage to the foreship and bulbous bow of the 'Marus'. Following the incident, repairs began on April 26 at Emder Shipyard, where the vessel was reported stationary as of May 10. Concurrently, 'MSC Anshikia IV' was also undergoing repairs, having entered drydock at EDR Shipyard in Antwerp on April 26, with status updates indicating the vessel remained stationary as of May 5.
