The vessel had embarked on its journey from Tanjung Pelepas on June 9. Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company LLC has proudly handled the operations for the Mayview Maersk, marking the seventh addition to its fleet of Triple-E class container ships, according to a statement from the company’s press center. This notable terminal has previously managed other prestigious vessels including Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller, Mary Maersk, Marie Maersk, Maribo Maersk, MV Marstal Maersk, and Matz Maersk. After the successful completion of handling activities, Mayview Maersk continued its journey to Port Busan in South Korea. Constructed by the renowned Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME Daewoo), the Mayview Maersk boasts an impressive capacity of 18,340 TEUs, with measurements of 399 meters in length, 59 meters in breadth, and a depth of 73 meters.

APM-Maersk has proudly welcomed the Mayview Maersk into its fleet, a substantial 18,270-TEU vessel that marks the tenth addition to a remarkable series of 20 ships ordered back in 2011 from the renowned Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) in South Korea. Scheduled for deployment by the end of July, this impressive new ship is set to serve on Maersk's Asia-Europe AE-10 service. In a strategic fleet upgrade, the Mayview Maersk will take over the role of the Elly Maersk, a 15,550-TEU ship that will transition to the AE-2 loop. This loop is currently undergoing enhancements, evolving its capacity from 8,400 TEU vessels to those accommodating 15,000 TEU, according to reports from Alphaliner.
