In the early hours of May 14, 2017, a fire erupted aboard the ferry "Giuseppe SA," approximately 50 miles off the coast of Olbia, Sardinia. The vessel was en route from Piombino and had a total of 113 individuals on board, comprising 81 passengers and 31 crew members. The alarm was raised when one of the trucks caught fire due to a short circuit in a trailer. Emergency response was swift, with the CP 330 from the Maddalena Port Captain dispatched to the scene alongside multiple ferries, including the "Masccalzone Scatenato," "Moby Wonder," and "Moby Aki."
