On November 24, 2017, the cargo ship 'Adeline' encountered significant difficulties while navigating from Rotterdam to Purfleet, situated north of Margate. The vessel became disabled and began to drift aimlessly. In response to the emergency, the tugboat 'MTS Vanquish' (IMO: 9559573) was dispatched from Yarmouth later that evening. In the early hours of November 25, the 'Adeline' was successfully taken in tow. The 'Union Coral' (IMO: 9314260) joined the operation as a stern tug while maneuvering through WNW winds reaching six Beaufort off Oostende. The combined efforts of the two tugboats ensured the safe transit of the 'Adeline', which was finally docked at the Albert II Dock in Zeebrugge at 5 p.m. on November 26.
