On September 18, 2021, several containers aboard the 'X-Press Brahmaputra' experienced water ingress while the vessel was engaged in loading and unloading operations at New Mangalore Port. The ship, which had docked at Berth No. 3 on September 16, was later moved to Berth No. 6 for its cargo activities. It was during these operations that crew members discovered that containers positioned in the lower row of Hold No. 4 had become wet due to water seeping in from a ballast tank. In response, all suspected wet containers were promptly removed and relocated to the port's container yard for thorough inspections and evaluations. Following the cargo operations, the 'X-Press Brahmaputra' successfully completed its tasks and departed for Angre on September 21, 2021.

On November 3, 2018, at 07:30 a.m., the container vessel 'Xpress Brahmaputra' experienced an allision with a bollard while departing from Jetty No. 2 at New Mangalore Port. This unfortunate incident resulted in a hull breach several meters long on the portside stern and caused damage to a fuel tank, leading to a diesel spill. Quick action was taken as oil booms were deployed, and within four hours, the spill was effectively contained using skimmers.
