On March 28, 2021, the container vessel 'X Press Nile', sailing from Haifa to Damietta, encountered a critical failure of its main engine while approximately eight nautical miles from its destination. With 15 crew members on board, the ship became disabled and adrift, prompting immediate action from the local Port Authority. Two tugboats, accompanied by a pilot, were dispatched to assist the stricken vessel. Following the completion of cargo operations, the ship was relocated from the Antalya inner port to the nearby anchorage. As of March 11, the crew is actively performing necessary repairs while the vessel remains anchored at Port Akdeniz, positioned at coordinates 36° 50.22' N and 030° 36.79' E.

On May 31, 2011, a vessel experienced a critical loss of power to its main engine while navigating at coordinates 18°31.2'N and 66°34.2'W. The situation necessitated immediate assistance, prompting the deployment of three tugboats. These tugs successfully towed the distressed vessel to San Juan later that same day, ensuring the crew's safety and the secure return of the ship to port.
