On the night of October 18, a maritime incident occurred in the Baltic Sea when the general cargo ship Mikhail Lomonosov collided with the British sailing yacht Mohican Too. The accident took place approximately 18 nautical miles north of Glowe, near Ruegen Island, Germany. The collision resulted in significant damage to the yacht's rigging, rendering the vessel disabled. Fortunately, the salvage boat Harro Koebke, based in Ruegen, quickly responded to the distress call and arrived on the scene to assist. The yacht was securely taken in tow and safely transported back to Glowe. Meanwhile, the Mikhail Lomonosov remained on site to ensure the safety of the disabled yacht until the salvage team arrived. Onboard the Mohican Too were two British nationals and a Swedish individual, all of whom were unharmed in the incident. Following the collision, the freighter received clearance to continue its voyage from St. Petersburg to Hamburg, making its way through the Kiel Canal. By the morning of October 20, the Mikhail Lomonosov was anchored along the Kiel Canal route.
