Collision at Nouadhibou Roads Leaves Five Fishermen Missing
Tragedy struck on February 21, 2020, at approximately 9 p.m. when the oil tanker 'Minerva Lydia' collided with a fishing vessel while entering Nouadhibou Roads in Mauritania. The tanker was arriving from Cotonou when the unfortunate incident occurred, resulting in the disappearance of all five crew members aboard the fishing boat. Following the collision, the 'Minerva Lydia' dropped anchor at Nouadhibou Roads, located at coordinates 20° 49.65' N and 017° 0.72' W, as search and rescue efforts began.
