In a notable maritime incident on the morning of December 19, 2020, the cargo vessel m/v 'Isartal', which was making its way from Constanta, encountered difficulties during a berthing maneuver in Tuapse. The vessel, having already positioned itself alongside the quay with tug assistance by 7 a.m., unexpectedly surged forward and collided with the 'Mira Akay'. The 'Mira Akay', which had docked at the port after arriving from Istanbul at 3 p.m. on December 18, sustained damage as a result of the allision. The bow of the 'Isartal' struck the port side stern of the 'Mira Akay', leading to noticeable dents in both vessels' bulwarks and hull plates.
