On July 31, 2017, the ZEABORN Group made a significant move in the maritime sector by finalizing contracts to acquire five heavy-lift cargo vessels, each boasting a deadweight tonnage of 30,000 dwt. These vessels, known as sister ships to the previously purchased Rickmers Hamburg, are currently utilized in the Rickmers-Line liner service, which ZEABORN had secured earlier in April of this year. The specifics of the purchase price have not been revealed by the involved parties. The vessels included in this transaction are the Rickmers SINGAPORE, Rickmers JAKARTA, Rickmers NEW ORLEANS, Rickmers SEOUL, and Rickmers DALIAN. Each ship is outfitted with four robust cranes that yield a total lifting capacity of 640 tons, along with intermediate decks designed to maximize loading capabilities. Although the official ownership of the vessels will transfer to ZEABORN by the end of September, they are already operationally available to the company without any limitations.
