Significant Allision Near Ramsgate: 'Marus' and 'MSC Anshikia IV' Collision
On April 4, 2025, a maritime incident unfolded off the coast of Ramsgate when the cargo vessel 'Marus' (IMO: 9110559), on its way from Rotterdam, collided with the anchored container ship 'MSC Anshikia IV', which was en route from Abidjan. The collision caused considerable bow damage to the 'Marus', prompting its entry into the Emder Shipyard for necessary repairs on April 26. As of May 5, the vessel remained stationary at the shipyard. Meanwhile, the 'MSC Anshikia IV' also underwent repairs, entering dry dock at the EDR Shipyard in Antwerp on the same date, and was still under maintenance as of May 10. Significant Maritime Collision: Hyundai Confidence and Pacific Carrier Collide Off Kwangyang
On December 14, 2011, a dramatic maritime incident occurred when the container ship Hyundai Confidence collided with the capesize bulk carrier Pacific Carrier near Kwangyang.
