On the morning of March 24, 2019, at 9 a.m., the container vessel 'Calisto', measuring 15,487 GT and registered under IMO number 9306067, faced a critical navigational challenge while traveling from Hamburg to Gdynia. In the course of this incident, 'Calisto' also collided with the bulkcarrier 'Interlink Affinity', a Marshall Islands-flagged vessel weighing 24,940 GT and registered under IMO number 9754082. The 'Interlink Affinity' had been securely berthed at the Elbe Port since March 21, arriving from Colon, and was impacted during 'Calisto's' unintended course deviation. Despite complications and visible damages along its port side, including scratches and dents, the vessel managed to continue its journey into the Kiel Canal by 5:30 p.m. Later, 'Calisto' successfully docked at the DCT Gdansk Container Terminal in Gdansk on March 26 at 4:50 a.m.
