In an exciting development for maritime logistics, the CMA CGM HUGO is set to be the inaugural vessel on the newly established CMA CGM + MAERSK FAR EAST - ECSA service. Following an announcement in mid-May, a coalition of six shipping giants—Maersk, CMA CGM, Hamburg-Süd, CSAV, CSCL, and Hanjin—has committed to collaborating along the Far East to East Coast South America (ECSA) route. This strategic partnership will see the replacement of three existing loops with three newly designed services, each operating with slightly reduced capacities.
