Furthermore, the Houthis alleged that they targeted the 'MSC Vittoria' twice in the Indian Ocean and later in the Arabian Sea, but once again, these claims remain unverified by military tracking operations, and no information has been reported from the vessel.

Over the past weekend, the Houthis announced an escalation in their naval operations, claiming to have targeted three merchant vessels alongside U.S. frigates, with one reported incident occurring in the Indian Ocean. However, security experts are yet to verify these claims, expressing skepticism given the group's history of exaggerating their successes in maritime assaults. This surge in activity marks the sixth month of the Houthis conducting strikes on commercial shipping as part of their efforts to pressure for a truce between Israel and Hamas. According to their statements, the targets included the 'Hope Island', 'MSC Gina', and 'MSC Grace F', which were allegedly located in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and Indian Ocean, respectively. If substantiated, this would signify a substantial expansion in the geographical range of their attacks. Preliminary reports indicate that none of these vessels sustained damage during the purported strikes.

In a dramatic sea rescue, a 27-year-old crew member was saved after falling overboard from the container vessel MSC Gina (IMO: 9202663) near Felixstowe, Suffolk. The incident occurred early in the morning at approximately 0615 BST, prompting urgent action from emergency services. The Thames Coastguard received reports of the fall and immediately dispatched an RAF search and rescue helicopter from Wattisham Airfield, alongside lifeboats and pilot boats from Harwich. With swift coordination, one of the pilot boats located the overboard crewman and successfully pulled him from the chilly waters, approximately 16 miles off the coast. After being rescued, the individual was transported to Felixstowe dock, where he was treated for hypothermia by dockside paramedics to help stabilize his condition. He reunited with the MSC Gina when the ship arrived at the port at 0930 BST. Notably, the crew member was not wearing a lifejacket at the time of the incident, highlighting the critical importance of safety gear at sea.
