On December 9, 2023, the 'MSC Manzanillo V' was detained at Zhoushan shortly after its arrival, following an inspection conducted by port state control inspectors under the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control. During this inspection, inspectors identified a total of eight deficiencies, with three deemed serious enough to warrant the ship's detention. Fortunately for the vessel, it was cleared and released the next day, December 10. The 'MSC Manzanillo V' then departed the port, heading towards Nansha, and is scheduled to arrive there by December 13.
