Ocean Yield ASA, the renowned Norwegian ship owner, has proudly accepted the delivery of the formidable 19,500 TEU container vessel named MSC Mirjam. Constructed by the esteemed South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries, this impressive vessel was officially handed over on November 16. Following its delivery, MSC Mirjam embarked on a robust 15-year bareboat charter with Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), a leading name in the container shipping industry based in Switzerland. Measuring in at 202,000 deadweight tonnage (dwt), this Ultra Large Container Vessel (ULCV) is chartered at a rate of USD 46,250 per day, as reported by VesselsValue. MSC Mirjam marks the fourth addition in a series of six colossal container ships acquired by Ocean Yield, which operates in collaboration with Quantum Pacific Shipping, a subsidiary of the Quantum Pacific Group.
