Despite the 'Helene' commencing a long-term charter back in January 2016, the financial landscape remained unchanged. Investors in the fund, along with third-party investors, have poured millions of Euros into subordinated loans in an effort to salvage the vessel. These loans are anticipated to be repaid post-sale; however, original equity payments will not be forthcoming. Consequently, stakeholders are bracing for a staggering capital loss that could reach around 90 percent. Currently, the fund's estimated worth stands at approximately $52.4 million (including Agio), while investors themselves have contributed about $35.8 million (plus Agio).
