The vessel located a 30-year-old man, one of three bathers who had been missing since the previous day in the Poseidon sea area of Halkidiki. The rescue took place approximately 14 nautical miles south-southwest of Akrotiri Poseidi. The survivor was found conscious and was subsequently transferred onto a nearby patrol boat. He was then taken to the port of Nea Skioni, where an ambulance awaited to transport him to the General Hospital of Thessaloniki for further medical attention.
