MURUVVET ILHAN Faces Delays Due to Rodent Sightings in Flekkefjord
The vessel MURUVVET ILHAN, identified by IMO number 9426647, arrived at Flekkefjord on February 3, 2011. However, it couldn't dock at the Simek Shipyard until February 6 due to a significant hurdle. Authorities spotted a rat on board, triggering pest control regulations that prohibit a ship from berthing until any potential rodent threat has been eliminated. While inspections revealed traces of rodent activity, no live rodents or recent tracks were found. To address the issue, workers from both the shipyard and pest control company Anticimex were safely hoisted onto the vessel by crane.
