COVID-19 Outbreak on USNS Leroy Grumman Leads to Quarantine of Crew
In a concerning development, at least 19 crew members aboard the USNS Leroy Grumman (T-AO 195) have tested positive for COVID-19 while docked in Boston. The fleet replenishment oiler has been stationed in Boston since February 2020 for scheduled maintenance and overhaul. At present, the vessel is undergoing repairs at Boston Ship Repair, where it is in dry dock. In light of the positive test results, all 50 crew members on the ship have been placed under quarantine to ensure their health and safety.
