Nacc Poros Detained at Fraser Wharves for Deficiencies
On August 19, 2025, the vessel 'Nacc Poros' faced detention at Fraser Wharves in Vancouver due to multiple deficiencies. The inspection revealed a total of ten issues, three of which were deemed serious enough to warrant the vessel’s detention. The critical deficiencies included: 1) Inadequate documentation of basic training as required by maritime regulations, 2) A lack of proper training and instruction regarding life-saving appliances on board, and 3) Inoperative oil filtering equipment, which is essential for pollution prevention. Following rectifications, the 'Nacc Poros' was cleared and departed Vancouver on August 21, setting sail for Seattle, where it arrived on August 23.

The NACC Poros was subsequently docked at private port facilities, where it has been prohibited from sailing until further notice. Fortunately, all 13 crew members onboard reported no injuries during the incident.
