In a strategic move, Navios Maritime has confirmed the sale of a combined fleet of five tankers, including two LR1s and three MRs, to Avic Leasing, a prominent Chinese buyer. The vessels involved in this en bloc transaction are the 'Nave Andromeda,' built in 2011, and 'Nave Estella,' constructed in 2012, both originating from Sungdong, South Korea. These vessels underwent their last dry dockings in December 2019 and February 2020, respectively. The deal also encompasses the 'Nave Alderamin,' 'Nave Titan,' and 'Nave Capella,' all of which were built in 2013 at Dae Sun, South Korea, with dry dockings completed in September, June, and October of 2021, respectively. The total transaction value amounts to USD 103.2 million, showcasing a significant investment in the maritime sector by Avic Leasing.
