Navigator-Aries Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

In a dramatic maritime incident, the tanker 'Navigator Aries' collided with the container ship 'Leo Perdana' on June 29, 2015, at 1 a.m. The accident occurred off Karang Jamuang Island, located approximately 20 nautical miles north of Surabaya. Following the collision, the tanker sustained a significant breach on its port side, which ultimately led to a fire outbreak. Fortunately, the flames were successfully extinguished by 4:15 p.m. at the scene. At the time of the incident, the 'Navigator Aries' was making its journey from Dermaga Gospier to Pelabuhan Kalbut, while the 'Leo Perdana' was en route to Surabaya. In response to the emergency, four tugboats were deployed to assist the stricken tanker, which was anchored at coordinates 06°59'S 112°42'E, roughly 10 nautical miles north of Gresik.
