In a dramatic turn of events, a fire erupted aboard the tanker 'Navigator Global' at the Brega Seaport jetty in Libya on the early morning of September 24, 2025. Emergency response teams quickly mobilized, effectively controlling the blaze before it could escalate. The flames originated in the forward section of the vessel, prompting swift action. To aid in the firefighting efforts, the upper engine was shut down, limiting the fire's potential to spread further into the tanker. The General Administration of Operations from the Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Manufacturing Company was alerted to oversee the situation and provide essential technical support at the scene.
