Working Conditions Aboard the Navios-Domino

On February 27, 2017, a significant medivac operation took place after the bulk carrier 'Mo Dominance' reported a critical health issue involving one of its crew members. At 12:30 PM, the Centre Regional Opérationnel de Surveillance et de Sauvetage de l'Océan Indien (CROSS-Ru) initiated a pre-alert, recognizing the urgency of the situation. The vessel was positioned approximately 14 nautical miles north of Réunion Island. Following nearly two hours of preparation, the alert was validated. The SNSM vessel 'Moïse Bègue 2' swiftly departed towards the 'Mo Dominance' at a speed of 15 knots. A team of six volunteers aboard, including a medical doctor, was ready to assist the ailing crew member. The two vessels met at 3 PM, approximately six miles north of Sainte-Marie, where the patient was successfully transferred to the 'Moïse Bègue 2'.
