On March 18, 2014, Rickmers Trust Management Pte. Ltd. (RTM), the Trustee-Manager of the publicly listed Rickmers Maritime, proudly announced a significant achievement in expanding its fleet employment. In a press release, the company revealed that two of its container vessels, the Henry Rickmers (previously known as Ital Fastosa) and the Richard Rickmers (previously Ital Festosa), have been successfully chartered to Maersk Line, the largest container shipping company globally. The Henry Rickmers is set to be delivered to Maersk Line this week, while the Richard Rickmers will follow suit in just two weeks. This charter agreement outlines an initial minimum duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extending up to 24 months. Both vessels will operate under a floating charter rate determined by an index mutually agreed upon by Maersk Line and RTM. With this strategic partnership, the charters are projected to generate approximately USD 5 million in revenue for the Trust over the initial 12-month period.
