On June 17, 2016, the cargo vessel 'Arctur,' carrying a load of 2,940 tons of wheat, encountered difficulties and ran aground at the 133 km mark of the Volga-Caspian Sea Canal. The ship was making its way from Astrakhan to Anzali when the incident occurred. Fortunately, with prompt assistance from the offshore supply tug 'Svetliy' (IMO: 9356373), the 'Arctur' was successfully refloated on the same day, allowing it to continue its voyage without significant delay.
