The Nordic-Aquarius: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

Nordic American Tankers Limited (NAT) has proudly announced the arrival of its latest addition, the Nordic Aquarius, marking the first delivery in a trio of tankers from Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in South Korea. The upcoming deliveries are slated for the end of August and October, ensuring a rapid expansion of NAT's fleet capabilities. The Nordic Aquarius boasts a substantial 156,900 DWT capacity, equipped to transport up to one million barrels of crude oil. NAT has indicated that this vessel will engage in global trading activities, with its inaugural journey expected to commence from Singapore, heading towards Western Europe. This series of tankers has been made possible through a strategic sale/leaseback arrangement, enhancing the company's financial flexibility. With the addition of these new vessels and previous deliveries from 2018, NAT now enjoys an exceptional Suezmax fleet profile that leads the industry, along with a robust balance sheet. The introduction of these three new tankers will significantly lower the average age of NAT's fleet to approximately 10 years per vessel, reinforcing its competitive edge in the maritime sector.
