On October 29, 2015, Nordic American Tankers Limited (NAT) proudly announced the addition of its 24th vessel to its growing fleet. This significant milestone follows the firm’s agreement to acquire two Suezmax tankers built in 2010, initially revealed in a press release dated July 27, 2015. The first vessel, Nordic Light, was delivered on September 22, while the second, now named Nordic Cross, officially joined the NAT fleet today. With the inclusion of Nordic Cross, the company’s fleet comprises a total of 26 Suezmax vessels, bolstered by two newbuilds expected to arrive in the third quarter of 2016 and early 2017.
