On February 6, 2019, during a search operation for a missing male, the cargo ship 'Nordic Erika' was located at coordinates 55 25.45 N, 5 35.99 W in Campbeltown Harbour. It was during this activity that crew members discovered the ship had sustained damage. The incident promptly triggered a report to the duty surveyor, who will oversee the vessel's inspection aimed at addressing the identified issues. Subsequently, the 'Nordic Erika' made its way to Plymouth, arriving at 11:20 a.m. the same day, where further assessments and repairs are expected to take place.

On the night of December 29, 2011, at approximately 11 p.m., the vessel 'Nordic Erika' encountered difficulties, running aground along the embankment of the Kiel Canal close to the ferry point at Burg. The ship, which had embarked from the Bominflot bunker station in Kiel at 5 p.m., was en route from Gdynia to Cork with an estimated time of arrival set for January 2, 2012. In response to the incident, the tug 'Bugsier 15' was dispatched to assist in refloating the Nordic Erika. After successful efforts, the vessel was safely towed to Brunsbüttel, where it was docked at 12:45 a.m. on December 30.
