The "Norland", which was anchored while awaiting bunkering services en route from Koper to Beirut, was in the process of maneuvering to its designated berth on the starboard side when the collision took place. Following the impact, the "Norland" sustained visible damage, including indentations in the steel plates of the crew accommodations, bent frames, and a shattered porthole. Similarly, the "Menalon" exhibited signs of damage with indentations on the bulwark's steel plate and some bent brackets. Despite the mishap, the "Norland" successfully arrived in Beirut on March 15, while the "Menalon" returned to Kali Limenes after completing the bunkering operation on the same day.
