On January 11, 2019, at 2:15 p.m., the cargo vessel 'Trinidad Trader' encountered a mishap while making its way to the 5C quay of Puerto Cortés, Honduras. The incident occurred as the ship, coming from Caucedo in the Dominican Republic, allided with the protective barriers set up at the quay. Assisted by tugs during the approach, the vessel managed to disengage from the barriers with help before relocating to an anchorage for necessary surveys.
