In a maritime incident that occurred on August 14, 2019, at 5 a.m., the cargo vessel Omskiy 138 ran aground on the Svir River within the Podporozhsky district as it navigated toward Ivinsky. The vessel, which was transporting 2,500 tons of timber headed for Sweden, encountered a significant complication when it sustained a leak on its port side, leading to water ingress. Despite the crew's efforts, consisting of 12 members, they faced challenges in managing the water intake in the ballast tanks. Positioned outside the designated fairway, the Omskiy 138 required lightering operations. To mitigate the situation, a portion of the cargo was planned to be transferred to its sister ship, Omskiy 133, using a floating crane.

On July 3, 2018, at precisely 3:10 a.m., the bulk carrier 'Omskiy 137' found itself aground near the Volodarskiy Bridge in St. Petersburg, marking the incident at kilometer 1368 on the Neva River. The vessel, laden with a cargo of wood chips and en route to Södra Monsteras, encountered difficulties while attempting to anchor. Fortunately, the 'Omskiy 137' was successfully refloated by midday and subsequently escorted to a nearby berth for a thorough inspection. By the end of the day, it was relocated upriver and secured outside the city's limits at coordinates 59° 50.74' N, 030° 29.61' E, where it remained docked until July 4.
