One-Tribute Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

On February 11, 2019, the MOL Tribute, an ultra-large containership operated by Ocean Network Express, made maritime history by loading an astonishing 19,100 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) at the PSA Singapore terminal. This remarkable achievement marks a new high in container loading capacity for vessels, highlighting the ongoing advancements in shipping technology and capacity optimization in the maritime transport sector.

On September 1, 2017, the cargo vessel 'Mol Tribute' executed an emergency anchoring procedure while attempting to moor in Hamburg. Arriving from Southampton, the ship was in the midst of its inaugural voyage when the situation unfolded. With the help of tugboats, the ‘Mol Tribute’ was preparing to dock at Burchard Quay. However, to avert a potential collision with other vessels in Waltershof Port, the crew decided to drop anchor prior to reaching the designated berth. This decisive action allowed the ship to halt safely and secure a berth at 1:30 p.m. As of September 4, the vessel remained in port, concluding its maiden trip under intense circumstances.
