This remarkable ship boasts a capacity of 20,170 TEU and spans an impressive 400 meters in length and 58.8 meters in width. Equipped with cutting-edge sustainable technologies, the MOL TRIUMPH is designed to enhance fuel efficiency and minimize environmental impact. Constructed by Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., she is the flagship of a series featuring six 20,000 TEU-class container vessels operated by Mitsui O.S.K Lines, Ltd. (MOL). The vessel is set to be a key player in the Asia-Europe trade lane, participating in THE Alliance’s FE2 service. After its departure from Tianjin Xingang on April 4, 2017, MOL TRIUMPH visited several major ports, including Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, and Ningbo, before arriving at Hong Kong. This remarkable vessel, with an impressive carrying capacity of 20,170 TEUs, is the first of six cutting-edge 20,000 TEU-class containerships delivered to the company by Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. on March 27, 2017. Stretching 400 meters in length and 58.8 meters in width, the MOL Triumph dwarfs the iconic Oriental Pearl Radio and TV Tower in height. As part of THE Alliance’s service linking Asia and Europe via the FE2 route, she embarked on her maiden voyage in early April. Prior to her arrival in Shanghai, she made successful calls at prominent Chinese ports including Xingang, Dalian, and Qingdao. Following her stop in Shanghai, the MOL Triumph will proceed to Ningbo, Hong Kong, Yantian, and Singapore, before transiting the Suez Canal and heading towards Tangier, Southampton, Hamburg, Rotterdam, and Le Havre. On her return journey to Asia, she will again stop at Tangier and Jebel Ali. The FE2 service is designed to offer swift, reliable transportation to and from China, Southeast Asia, the West Mediterranean, and Northern Europe.
