Engine Fuel Pump Malfunction Near Nash Point
On October 9, 2018, at 09:25 a.m., the 'Opal Leader' experienced a defect in its main engine fuel pumps valve while cruising approximately five miles off Nash Point, located at coordinates 51°19'31.8"N and 003°37'33.0"W. At the time of the incident, the vessel was transporting a total of 1,601 vehicles. The Milford Haven Coastguard monitored the situation closely. Fortunately, all necessary repairs have been finalized, and the 'Opal Leader' is now back on its voyage.
