In a significant development, Farstad Shipping ASA has confirmed the sale of its Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) Lady Grete, a 2002-built vessel with an IMO classification of UT 755 L and a deadweight tonnage of 3,264 DWT. This transaction was executed by Farstad Shipping Pte. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary located in Singapore. The handover of the vessel to its new owner was finalized on Monday, February 29, 2016, marking a pivotal point in Farstad's ongoing strategy in the maritime sector.

In a significant development for the maritime industry, Farstad Shipping announced on June 15, 2012, that it has successfully secured charter contracts for nine of its vessels. This impressive deal includes two new platform supply vessels (PSVs) created for Statoil. According to reports by gCaptain, the total value of these contracts, excluding options, is estimated at NOK 1.4 billion, which translates to approximately USD 234 million. Statoil has extended a long-term charter agreement for the two PSVs, with each contract set for a firm duration of six years, accompanied by three optional one-year extensions. The two newbuild vessels, which will support Statoil’s operations, are scheduled for delivery from the shipyard, with an anticipated handover in the third and fourth quarters of 2014. Shipbuilding contracts are expected to be finalized soon, marking an important step for Farstad Shipping as it strengthens its position in the offshore supply sector.
