In the early hours of February 27, 2025, at approximately 2 a.m. UTC, the vessel 'Oyster' experienced a critical engine malfunction while navigating the Bosphorus Strait near Kandilli. The ship, which was traveling from Ambarlı to Novorossiysk with an estimated time of arrival on February 28, was promptly assisted by the tugboats 'Kurtarma 7' (IMO: 9598608) and 'Kurtarma 12' (IMO: 9854404). Under the skilled coordination of the IGTH Center and in the presence of a pilot, the 'Oyster' was safely towed and secured at Büyükdere Anchorage, positioned at 41° 09' N latitude and 029° 03' E longitude, by 5:30 a.m. UTC. Oyster Vessel Penalized for Navigation Breach in Georgia

On March 17, 2022, the vessel 'Oyster' faced a significant fine for breaching navigation regulations while docked at the port of Poti, Georgia, as confirmed by the Border Police of the Georgian Interior Ministry. The ship was apprehended for transgressing the navigation rules within Georgia's territorial waters. Following the incident, the Main Operations and Investigation Department of the Border Force launched legal proceedings against the vessel under the Administrative Code for 'Violation of the legislation on the continental shelf, territorial waters or special economic zone of Georgia', which carries a penalty of 20,000 Georgian Lari. After settling the fine, the 'Oyster' was granted clearance to depart from Poti on March 21, continuing its journey towards Novorossiysk, where it successfully docked on March 24.
