On June 28, it was confirmed that the Marshall Islands-registered product tanker FOS Hamilton has been detained after its allision with berth No.1A at the Novorossiysk port, which occurred on June 22. The vessel is currently anchored in the Novorossiysk Roads. According to a spokesperson from the Russian oil giant Transneft, the ship's detention was sanctioned by the Novorossiysk courts. Concurrently, divers are assessing the structural integrity of berth No.1A. Port authorities have indicated that the berth is now restricted to limited loading operations only, impacting shipping activities in the area.
